Planning your Joshua Tree elopement? Of course you are! Joshua Tree is one of the most beautiful elopement destinations the region has to offer, and your day there is going to be absolutely magical.
So you have your dream destination picked out, but what about the logistics for all your other vendors? There are a ton of options, and it might be overwhelming to try and sift through the sheer number of vendors to perfectly compliment this dazzling wedding spot. Don’t worry, I’m here to help you out! I had the honor of working with a ton of amazing Joshua Tree vendors for some beautiful shoots. If any of them fit the vibe you’d like to have for your day, be sure to check them out further to see if they’re that perfect fit for your elopement!
First, let’s talk about florals. Ash over at Reed and Rye is the QUEEN of that warm, vintage, desert feel. She prides herself on unconventional design choices. Honestly, they couldn’t be more perfect for a Joshua Tree elopement. Ash incorporates dried florals into her bouquets and setups as well, which is really the perfect addition to any desert style. I especially love the floral installation over the tablescape, which is pretty popular at the moment and looks incredible!
Another amazing floral choice is Bohemian Branches. They are based on the East Coast, but don’t let that stop you! Savahna shipped this bouquet all the way across the US and it looked perfect out of the box. She uses dried and synthetic flowers that look beautifully real, and the neutrals in this particular bouquet were amazing out in the desert.
Next, let’s talk about makeup! If you’re not big on doing it yourself (or having anyone in your bridal party/family tackle it), no worries. Katie Haynes Makeup has you COVERED. Katie specializes in makeup for bridal, fashion, and special occasions. Her mantra is “makeup that feels like you,” which means you won’t walk into your Joshua Tree elopement feeling like you’re wearing somebody else’s face!
I know that food might feel like a lower priority item to cross off your list of to-dos, especially if your elopement is going to be lowkey. But every celebration deserves good dessert, and Amame Desserts in San Diego has a really great range of flavors and fully customizable designs for your day! Plus, everything they make is 100% vegan.
If you’re at the stage where you’re looking to plan out those little details (your backdrop, your cards, name tags, etc.), I’ve got you covered with a few recommendations. First, Peachy & Folk specializes in custom stationary, rentals, backdrops, and more, so you can plan out something specially made for your Joshua Tree elopement, or pick from an inventory of more inexpensive pre-made designs to suit what you’re looking for! Wildhouse Ink will also create custom signage and stationary for your event. Their focus is on custom, personalized details that are modern-inspired and suited to each individual couple’s vision!
Lastly, let’s talk about that dress. (I know, you’ve been looking for these recommendations this whole time.) Luckily for you, I have FOUR recommendations for you, so that you can find the style that was made just for you.
Let’s talk about Daughters of Simone first. If boho and natural are your jam, Daughters of Simone has it on lock. Free-spirited, a little rebellious, 70s-inspired, and fully leaning into the bohemian and beachy vibe. What more could you ask for?! They even offer an in-home fitting service, so if you’re not near one of their retailers, you can check that out.
If bohemian isn’t your style, then maybe Reev Bridal is! These dresses are meticulously hand-crafted (that’s right: TOTALLY. BY. HAND.) and completely customized to your sizing. Reev creates everything in-house in Kyiv, Ukraine, and then your dress is shipped straight to you. They even modify the styles listed on their site if you want a custom option for your Joshua Tree elopement! Reev’s dresses are more minimalist in style, inspired by vintage looks but with modern touches. Their focus is creating dresses that are truly unique.
Another amazing option is Grace Loves Lace, an Australia-based company that has shops all over the world. These dresses are amazing quality and the perfect style for a modern bride. Their goal is to create a gown you can feel comfortable in as well as look truly stunning.
And if none of those speak to you for your Joshua Tree elopement, then make sure you check out Sarah Seven: simple, classic, and elegant dresses. “Wedding gowns that look like something you’d actually wear.” This is perfect for those of you who’ve looked at a ton of dresses already and just can’t picture yourself in any of them. Sarah Seven aims to make dresses that really feel like you (just, you know, a little bit fancier). Sarah Seven dresses are made in New York, but are carried internationally.
Now that you’ve got a great list of vendors to help you make your Joshua Tree elopement perfect for you, let’s talk about photographers! Reach out well in advance to make sure the right one for you is available on your date. Choosing the right photographer is important to preserve these beautiful memories for years to come.
