A perfect, sunny day on the Olympic Peninsula means the absolute dreamiest of engagement sessions!! Kendall and Connor decided they wanted their engagement photos in Olympic National Park after seeing some pictures I had previously taken there. I was stoked to get to visit this beautiful area again, on a day that was warm enough to give us the best sunset ever.
Kendall and Connor met when they were just fifteen years old! They are high school sweethearts who took some time apart before coming together again at Washington State University. Once they reconnected after college, they knew that was it! They have been together ever since, and now live in the Seattle area with their pup, Calvin!
For this session, we started at Hurricane Ridge and ended at Crescent Beach. Hurricane Ridge is the easiest mountain area to reach in Olympic National Park, which is perfect for anyone who doesn’t feel like sweating on their way in to take pretty photos! The views on clear days like the one I had with Kendall and Connor are truly unbeatable. Plus, these two are just the absolute cutest!
At Crescent Beach, there’s a really cool island covered in trees in the distance, which makes a gorgeous backdrop. If you read up on the Crescent Beach area, you’ll see that lots of people recommend this spot for a sunrise excursion. But, being here at sunset with Kendall and Connor was just dreamy! I feel blessed to have gotten such gorgeous golden light while celebrating these two and capturing the happy moments between them.
I cannot recommend Olympic National Park engagement photos enough! There is so much to explore and experience up on the peninsula, and it makes for a great weekend getaway. Reach out to me here to ask about sessions in Olympic and all my favorite spots!
