Seattle Tux Rental Options for Your Wedding

June 24, 2022

Resources

There are so many reasons to opt for a tux or suit rental instead of buying outright! You can put your wedding budget toward other things, it’s a more eco-conscious choice, and you can justify renting easier than buying if you know you probably won’t wear your suit again! And when it comes to rentals for a suit or tux, Seattle has some amazing local shops. I’m going to give you the top Seattle tux rental stores in this blog, as well as a sizable list of additional options where you can rent directly online.

Seattle Suit & Tux Rental Shops

The Tuxedo Club

This shop has been in the Lower Queen Anne neighborhood for 30 years! If you’re looking to buy instead of rent, you can do that here. They carry a ton of modern styles and you can rent a design that’s more relaxed, all the way up to true, formal tuxedo-wear. You can also rent separates instead of a full suit here. Rental prices range from $190 to $220 with a special rate if you rent multiple for your wedding.

Generation Tux

Generation Tux has recently switched to a 100% online rental process. They’ll ask you a few sizing questions and deliver your suit or tux to you 14 days before the wedding. There are over 20 different styles to choose from, and 100 color options. Shipping your pieces to you is free in the Seattle area!

The Black Tux

The Black Tux has a local store in the Alderwood Mall at Nordstrom. You’ll be able to go in for a custom fitting, then your suit rental will be shipped to you so that you have it 10 days before your wedding! They offer a discount if you rent multiple, for yourself and your partner or wedding party, etc. You can select a showcased style or go totally custom and fit your pieces together how you like it!

The Wedding Bell

This is primarily a dress shop, so don’t be confused when you check out their site! You’ll be able to get your suit rental here, too. You can make an appointment to get your measurements, and The Wedding Bell will coordinate your rental for you with Jim’s Formal Wear. They also offer alterations in case something isn’t fitting right when you get it.

Kita Events

Located in Edmonds, Kita Events sources rentals from Jim’s Formal Wear, Sartoro Custom Suits, and more to help you style and customize your wedding look. This is a family run business that will work hard to find you the perfect tux rental for your Seattle wedding!

Online Suit & Tux Rental Retailers for Your Seattle Wedding

Menguin

Okay, so I definitely giggled a little when I read this name, but Menguin is one of the most popular tux rental shops online! They will replace your suit for free if it doesn’t fit when it arrives, and shipping to you and returning the suit is included in the cost. And, they even include tape for you to close the box back up when you’re done! They have an easy system for browsing all the looks, inputting your sizes, and placing the order.

Friar Tux

Friar Tux is also becoming a very popular suit and tux rental option! They have lots of great colors, including some less common ones like tan, pink, green, and ivory. They do have some in-person store locations, but renting online is just as good of an option.

Stitch & Tie

You can rent a look that’s already been curated or customize it from Stitch & Tie. This is a family-owned brand that offers a lot of looks from Friar Tux. Their showroom locations are in California, but ordering online and getting a customized fit should be easy breezy.

Seattle tux rentals include bundles for the whole wedding party, like this groom who poses with his groomsmen in all black suits.

Robbie & Co has hundreds of style and color combinations, so you’ll really stand apart from every other suit-wearer at your wedding! As you should — this is a special day, and you should feel amazing. Prices start at $199 for rentals from Robbie & Co.

9tofive

The suits at 9tofive are custom-made in small batches, so you can be assured that the quality and uniqueness are unmatched! This is a Black-owned small business out of New York. They offer discounts for multiple purchases or rentals for your whole wedding party. And, you’re going to look so sleek in these designs!
