Koryn and Chris prove that there’s never a wrong time to get back into your wedding attire! These two are celebrating ten years together this May. They had plans of traveling overseas to celebrate the occasion before Covid became a reality. While an anniversary bridal shoot doesn’t quite have the same magic as a trip overseas with your love, this session at the Zion Canyon Overlook in Zion National Park felt like a fairytale all on its own.
These two lovebirds are local to Southern Utah, running their photography & videography business. They spend their down time with their kids out in the wilderness. They are truly gems to work with and I loved finally getting to know them in person after only seeing them over video chat and on social media the last few months!
Koryn wore this stunning, bohemian-esque dress for this anniversary bridal shoot from Dreamers and Lovers. This is a Los Angeles based bridal shop that offers beautiful boho wedding dresses! This is their “Caroline” off the shoulder dress, and it suited Koryn perfectly. A beautiful dried bouquet from Wild Provision Floral Co. and a pair of custom clay earrings from Autumn Fever Designs rounded out the look. (Autumn makes the most gorgeous custom pieces for you AND your entire bridal party – be sure to check her out!)
I can’t even begin to express how amazing Zion was. The weather was perfect in the spring. It was warm and sunny, but not too hot. Zion Canyon Overlook is about a 20-30 minute hike, with some pretty narrow spots on the trail. But the views along the way and at the end are so worth it. The size of the cliffs makes you feel so small in the very best way. As the sun set, things got a little chilly and windy, but Koryn and Chris have such hearts for adventure and took it all in stride, willing to wander close to the cliff’s edges for the most amazing views.
There’s so much more to see and do in Zion for an anniversary bridal shoot, elopement, or couples session, and I cannot wait to be back!
