Why Have Your Wedding at the Manor House?

The Manor House is the place to host events at Pleasant Beach Village, you guys. Whether you’re local to the Seattle area or are traveling to Bainbridge Island for a destination wedding, this venue will blow you + your guests away. Gorgeous interiors? Check. Even more gorgeous exteriors? Check. Laid-back island vibes? Check. Mouth watering food? Check.

Designed in a 1920’s Tudor style, the Manor House offers a perfect blend of refined elegance and rustic outdoor charm. You’ll have access to both indoor and outdoor spaces to use for your wedding celebration, the interiors featuring gorgeous, antique furnishings and the exteriors boasting spectacular views of Puget Sound. There’s honestly NOTHING better (and more quintessentially PNW) than tying the knot right by a beautiful body of water, surrounded by lush greenery and all of your fave people! And the beauty doesn’t stop once you head inside; you’ll find rich wood paneling, a cozy fireplace, stylish terraces, elegant furnishings, unique light fixtures. . . all just bursting with rustic island charm that’s impossible not to love. It’s SO great that the Manor House has both indoor and outdoor venue options, because obviously you can never predict the weather in the PNW!

The beauty of this venue will be so obvious as you scroll through these photos, so let’s take a minute to talk about all the other pros of getting married at the Manor House. First off, you’ll have easy access to a place to stay, with the Inn at Pleasant Beach literally right next to the Manor House—so no need to book a separate hotel on Bainbridge Island or anything! This boutique inn is sooo cozy and cute, with beautifully-furnished suites, spacious lounge areas, award-winning restaurants and bars, and, of course, stunning views. The Manor House even provides a complimentary ferry shuttle to and from the Inn for couples + their guests who are staying there!

As far as getting ready on your wedding day goes, you can either do so in your room at the Inn, or in the upstairs Loft at the Manor House itself. It’s SO helpful being able to stay so close to your wedding venue because you don’t have to worry about including space in your timeline for transportation.

I seriously don’t know how the team at the Manor House has managed to create such an incredible experience for every couple who chooses to get married there—the staff members are so amazing every step of the way. With the help of the in-house chef and the professional Events team, you’ll feel so cared for the entire time, and I think it’s safe to say that you’ll have a pretty dang seamless wedding experience. An important thing to note is that the Manor House does require an Event Planner or Day of Coordinator for weddings of over 50 guests, to ensure that your wedding decor, vendors, scheduling, etc. are all taken care of.

One other random fun thing about getting married about this venue: there’s an adorable local movie theater right across the street where you can get your names + wedding date added to the marquee! Such a cool touch, and a perfectttt place to take photos 🙂

Planning Your Manor House Wedding

One thing I want to mention real quick is that the Manor House offers wedding open houses for couples who want a personalized tour of the venue! Not only will you get to see the full venue and get a feel for what your day could potentially look like there, but you also get a complimentary tasting of the in-house chef’s most popular wedding dishes 🤤Salads, entrees, desserts, you get to try it all, as well as the opportunity to meet the event services staff who you would be working with! Oh, and free sparkling wine to celebrate your engagement 🙂 I love that they do this even for couples who haven’t booked the venue yet (though there is a $75 cost per person for couples that haven’t booked it!), because it gives you a realistic feel of the space, and helps you envision whether or not you could see hosting your wedding there.

Ceremony + reception venue options

—The Solarium: A beautiful, covered setting for wedding receptions with terraces overlooking the waterfront. This is where one of my couples, Monika and Jerrol, got married—pictured below & throughout this entire guide!

—The Library: A cozy indoor space perfect for intimate receptions or cocktail hours, with gorgeous wooden details + a warm fireplace to snuggle up by

—The outdoor patio: A beautiful outdoor space also great for small cocktail hours, or for taking breaks throughout the day

As far as decorating these spaces go, you are totally free to decorate the venue as you please! You could set up candles, hang up photos, have your florist set up floral installations, it’s fully up to you. They just ask that you make sure your decor doesn’t leave any holes or damage to the property, and that they’re all taken down by the time your clean-up period ends in the evening.

Best time of year to have a Manor House wedding

While the Manor House is really beautiful at any time of year, I’d say that the best time to get married there would either be in the spring, summer, or fall, a.k.a. when the weather is best in the PNW! The views of Puget Sound and Bainbridge Island as a whole are at their peak when the sun is shining and the skies are blue, and you just HAVE to take advantage of the amazing weather by exploring this beautiful island. Just keep in mind that summer is the busiest time of year on Bainbridge Island since everybodyyyy wants to enjoy that island sunshine, so it may be harder to find secluded spots to visit during your trip.

But because the Manor House does have indoor ceremony and reception sites, I would still totally recommend getting married there in the winter if that works best for you. Bainbridge Island is romantic AF even when it’s super moody and gloomy out; I actually love this coastal setting in the rain and the fog. It’s pretty dang magical and will create a really enchanting, unique atmosphere!

Where to stay near the Manor House at Pleasant Beach

This is an easy one: when you get married at the Manor House, you can stay at the Pleasant Beach Inn that I’ve already mentioned! Located right next door to the Manor House, this quaint hotel is the ideal place to spend your time on Bainbridge Island, with easy access to restaurants, retail shops, an outdoor pool and hot tub, and even a full on-site fitness complex. It’s pet-friendly, so you’re welcome to bring your doggos along to celebrate with ya and enjoy the fresh ocean air!
